Sponsorship of Africa Bandwidth Maps 2026
Digital Africa Development Agency Sponsors Africa Bandwidth Maps 2026 Edition to Advance Terrestrial Fibre Infrastructure in Africa
Digital Africa Development Agency (www.digitalafrica.ai), a management and operational consultancy focused on fixed telecommunications infrastructure across Africa, today announced its sponsorship of the 2026 edition of Africa Bandwidth Maps (www.africabandwidthmaps.com/app), the premier GIS-based resource for terrestrial fibre network intelligence across the African continent.
As part of this partnership, Digital Africa Development Agency will sponsor the production and distribution of the 2026 web-based GIS platform as well as printed transmission maps, which will provide key customers, partners, and stakeholders with a strategic reference tool for understanding the reach and evolution of terrestrial fibre networks across Africa.
"This sponsorship reflects our commitment to transparency and knowledge-sharing in the African telecommunications sector," said David Eurin, Executive Director at Digital Africa Development Agency. "Having accurate, accessible data on fibre infrastructure is essential for informed investment decisions, network planning, and infrastructure sharing. By supporting Africa Bandwidth Maps, we're contributing to a resource that benefits the entire industry."
“We are delighted that Digital Africa Development Agency will co-sponsor the 2026 edition of the Africa Telecom Transmission Map,” said Paul Hamilton, founder of Africa Bandwidth Maps. “Network operators continue to rapidly roll-out new fibre optic networks, with more than 18,500 km of new metro, national and international fibre routes entering service across Africa every three months. This sponsorship will enable us continue to update and improve the map, and supports a free and publicly available version of the map”.
